Farewell Sydney 2005
The night began at 7:30pm @The Rocks. We > Sandeep, Kevin Toh , Eric & I arranged to meet up for dinner for my 'early birthday celebration'. We went to a Latin American restaurant called Vivaz. The food wasn't that great for its price. However there were a lot of really nice music and entertainment. Apparently a lot of hen's night is held there.. so u can just imagine, it was going to be a great night for me rather than the guys =)
Before you know it, at every hour, the stripper was 'in da house' for each of the bride to be 'hens night party'. So all the girls in the restaurant would crowd together in a circle on the stage to watch what the fuss was all about. This was my first encounter with a stripper.. He, I must say had such a great bod and was soooo good looking. He didn't bare all of course, just until his butt was showing, and his family jewel was covered by a towel. Even the bride to be don't get to see it, BUT gets to feel it.. gosh it was a disgusting sight! I don't know how on earth ppl could have a hens night with a stripper in the house! Tis' just so wrong.. ew!
Anyways, after that I went back to the guys and they were like how was it? so I showed them all the pics I took! I know deep down they wanted to see it too.. hehehe.. . Caught up more with Eric and Kev. Both of them are going to change career next year. Kevin will be moving to Malaysia and hopefully Canon will give him a contract to work there as his intellectual capital (programmer) is so precious to the company that Canon do not want him to leave. Eric will hopefully quit Greater Union (cinema) and enter visual effects (as he's such an awesome 3D Animation designer).
The highlight of the night:
1) Drinking my margaritta, cutting my b'day cake which I was absolutely surprised by when the waitress took it out cos I thought the night was more of a catch up than any b'day celebration (3 cheers to Sandeep for organising it so well)
2) Getting my 'yellow' (for frienship) rose from Sandeep cos when we were going to the venue I was saying to Sandeep just how much I wanted flowers.. I wonder if I'll get it for my b'day. of course I was only stirring him but Sandeep of course read all the signs and got it for me when a lady came into the restaurant to sell it.. I felt like such a spoiled brat! hahaha..
3) Watching the Amsterdam Cruise Ship sail away off to a round the world trip from Aust to Amsterdam.... it was such a gigantic boat alright! The siren was deafening when they ship sailed away! I so wished I was on that cruise too!
4) Coming home @around 11pm to find Kevin Trinh's dropped me off his present at Sandeep's place (cos he couldn't make it for the night). Like always, the typical graphic designer got me something he made. He got me a picture frame with a black & white pic of harbour bridge. In the card he wrote 'I took this not long ago and thought this is perfect for you as Sydney is your second home after all and I know how much you love Sydney.. ' The pic frame will go on my desk in my new office tomorrow morning when I start my first day there!
Can't believe I'm going back home in 1.5hr time. I will really miss Sydney, not b/c of the breathtaking views, but more b/c of the memories and friendships made here. They are just...absolutely priceless...
