With my BeautifuL Youth Group..

Every Wed night after work, I make my way to Andrew and Audrey's place to do bible studies with them (YGII).. These kids have so much potential and despite at times they get so caught up with the world's offerings, I know that my time and effort in sewing into their lives will not go to waste..

I've watched them grow from a little 10 y.o /13y.o boy to going through puberty to going through high school teenage life and finally VCE and now.. Andrew who have conquered all that is now doing his tertiary education.. Not to mention little Ivan.. whom I've carried from a baby to now a very naughty playful boy attending kinder.. There were the good times and the bad.. where these kids go through hell seeing their parents fight all the time.. and then the failures of exams, getting into fights, drag racing, getting their licence etc.. and through it all they haven't turned out too bad at all! Despite constantly under peer group pressure, both of them still knows deep down what is right and wrong ... ha! I reckon it's the holy spirit convictinig their hearts everytime they do something bad.. cos of all the leaders praying over their lives.. =)

Because I am at least 4-6yrs older than them.. I am always trying to teach them something they are about to go through during phases of their life.. hoping that they won't make the same mistakes that I've made.. advising them, counselling them, guiding them..

Anyhow, so after tonight's lesson in Exodus.. (all about Moses & Aaron and the plagues that God put onto Pharoah), Audrey got me to go into the kitchen, took out the choc/strawberry cake that reads 'God Bless Vicky' and surrounded me to sing the happy birthday song.. I was so touched!! So then we took at least 6 goes before I finally gave up and settled for the photo above (cos it's either someone blinked or someone looks elsewhere or Ivan gets naughty and sticks his tongue out). We ate half of the cake and they made me take the rest home cos they bought it especially for me... how sweet can they get! I love them to bits!!! They are truely some beautiful kids..
