Living in a totally different world

I've never had the privilege to live in a world where $1000 = $1 to some ppl. A world where money is infinite. Buy Buy Buy whatever makes you happy regardless of the cost...a world where rich ppl live in..

Tonight, Gina and I went to Crown VIP shopping night at all these prestige fashion brands (eg. LV, Vesarce, Burberry etc). Already, we felt so special cos it was Valet parking. So all we had to do was park my BLCKP at Crowne entrance (when there were at least 50 cars waiting for a car park!) and the staff takes care of everything. I felt a bit uneasy giving my car keys to the guy. But.. I just had to learn to trust. But I must admit, I've never been so proud of my BLCKP cos every other cars were European designers too! gosh luckily Peugeot made it to that category. I was so scared to kiss another car cos they were either BMs or Merc or Audi.

Anyhow, off we went to all these exclusive labels for VIPs only. French champagne on arrival. I drank 2 glasses and already everything looks like Vicky in wonderland.. I didn't think twice of buying anything until I saw the... Burberry white leather band watch... price? $550! I thought.. hmm I can afford this too (but the reality is I already have more than 10 watches, this would be a luxury buy and NOT a necessity buy). I absolutely fell in love with the watch. But.. the sales assistant said it wasn't on 20% d/c (like the other items) so I thought stuff this, it can wait... for my prince charming one day to buy for me instead! ha!

Then we went to LV. It was filled with Asians. I see a trend now, the major customers of Louis Vitton are Honkies, Taiwanese, ShangHainese & Singaporeans. Those ppl who have the bucks and LOVES Branded things. So Gina bumps into her friend there. She was from Taiwan. Same age as us. Her daddy was there to pay for whatever she wanted. So the damage? a Jeans material LV bag that costed $1500!! So her daddy bought it for her by swiping his plastic card away. I asked Gina do they have a good r/ship? and not surprisingly at all, no they don't. Her dad has a mistress, so as a result, the daughter will just buy anything to make her happy ... irrespective of whether or not she needs the item. She just wants to hurt her dad by taking all his money.
She's not the only person I know who does that either... what a sad sad world... Parents thinking they can buy their children with money when all they really want and need is their time and love.

After the VIP shopping spree (of which Gina bought her Cashmere jacket from Burberry valued at $1400), we went to meet up with Chien and the gang at Chien's cousin's place right in the heart of the city.

After reaching to 41st floor (nearly to the top of the building), as soon as we walked into the aptment, you could see the whole of Melb by night. The view was breathtaking... it's a whole entire wall that's been glassed up. So you could see things from a 180' angle. What a picturesque view! I asked how much the place was... the damage? $750,000 for 2bedroom! Gosh how does ppl get so rich? I wondered..

We went up to the indoor swimming pool (top floor) which once again has glassed walls around the entire room. The view was even more stunning. Gosh I was blown away by all these ppl's lifestyles. Yet, most of them don't see it as a big deal and absolutely take it for granted by not using the facilities at all or staying home to soak it all in for that matter. For a minute there, I really envied that lifestyle and then had to remind myself, money isn't everything..ultimately it can't buy you true happiness .. just look at Gina's friend for example.
