New Year's Resolutions: 2005 & 2006

Many ppl has been asking me 'What is your New Year's Resolution?' and I kept on replying 'hmmm.. I don't know yet'. So at exactly midnight on the last day of 2005, let's take a moment of my busy lifestyle to reflect upon the year that was in particularly my NY's resolution that I had typed down for 2005 (word for word) to assess whether or not I've achieved it and of course, to write down some SMART (Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) goals for 2006:

My 2005 Resolutions:
1. To make my LDR work - ok that didn't quite happen... no further comment.
2. To move more advance in my career wise, which I have all confidence it'll happen early this year - Ok that definitely happened, not once but 3 times all in one year! Now that's just a bit too fast I reckon.. but I am still very thankful! Praise God!
3. Lose weight > I have to go back to my original weight of 55kg and MAINTAIN IT!! arghhh!! -
Ok that didn't happen EITHER!! ARGHHH!! So this will be copied and paste for next year!
4. Start my Youth Group which will be held at Audrey's house - Yeah that definitely did happen! another brownie points! yahoo!
5. Travel to EGYPT! - Ok this didn't happen... man I see a pattern here (even numbers achieved, odd didn't). But it will definitely happen. I give it another 3yrs ... cos I really want to go combine this trip with a biblical tour of the holy land of Israel and I know that costs a lot of money and it needs church connections too! so this will have to be put on hold.

Ok now for this upcoming New Year's Resolutions... drum roll pplz!

My 2006 Resolutions:
Personal Goals:
1) Lose weight - > I have to go back to my original weight of 55kg and MAINTAIN IT!! - this will be done by joining a gym and attending it at least twice a week!! c'mon Vicky u can do it!!!
2) To stay single and not even think about entering into another r/ship until 2007- To clear my head, take a breather, discover myself & learn to trust again..
3) To Visit Taj Mahal & Nepal and climb Mt KK! - The first two countries will be happening in May (which I'm still hoping Nepal will happen also), Climbing Mt KK (East Malaysia) on the other hand.. hmm... time will only tell..
4) To travel somewhere local with parents - My aim will be to take my parents to SYD (since Sydney is practically my 2nd home) for a real sight scenery holiday.. This will happen in MARCH 06! yeah!

Professional Goals:
1) To hit 260 MSU for OLAY by June 30th 2006 & to win favour in the eyes of my buyers - the criteria for this will be through gaining outstanding Olay displays in Coles & Bilo.
2) To hold consistent and successful Events for P&G Social Club at VIC office - This will be done by regular events held once every two months organised by yours truely alongside with 5 other committee members.

Spiritual Goals:
1) To seek God's guidance in EVERY decision I make - ESPECIALLY in r/ships!!
2) To read His word each day - I am planning to get sooo familiarised with the New Testament by the end of 2006 so much so that I will know at least where in the New Testament are major scriptures/stories found.. (just in case I need to write another Christmas drama skit! hehehe). Also, I aim to read at least 4 books of the Old testament and know it in detail.
3) To read at least 3 Christian author books for the year - For some ppl who are reading this, you may think what? only 3??? but hey, I really don't have much time to read books and besides I get so impatient by just sitting there turning one page after another.. so 3 is a BIG ACHIEVEMENT for MUA!
4) To continue my role at the church as a Youth Group Leader, Worship Leader & Creative Arts Director - YGL - This will be done through consistent teaching at YGII & shepparding my sheep & hopefully I will have 2 more sheep under my care & start and finish reading the book of Ecclesiastes & Acts, WL- fulfilling 80% of duty roster for worship leading & training the potential youths for worship to step up, CAD- Ensuring an item is prepared well in advance (yes in advance!!) before the actual day of performance & to organise outings/special programs on major calendar events for the church.

Social Goals:
1) To keep in touch with friends - Not only on the surface 'in-touch', but ensuring I am there for them emotionally, professionally & spiritually.
2) Attend all of my friends' weddings - sob sob... yes MOST of my friends are going off before me.. sob sob.. and actively helping out where I can in the organisation of close friends weddings.

Financial Goals:
1) To pay Dad back of all of my HECS debt (which he kindly paid in advance for me =) - I'm already 60% there!! yeah!
2) To save at least $10,000 before 2006 ends - This will be absolutely possible considering I will be off Qantas Staff Privileges come April (well at least I found a reason not to cry.. ).

So here it is, my goals for 2006! May God's hand be upon it as I commit aLL of my hopes and dreams, heart's desire onto His footstool...
To God be the Glory...
