Time > the passing wind

This past week has truely gone so so fast... Already, the first week of 2006 is over.

Here were the highlights:

WED
- YGII - We have finally finished the story of Moses! Next week, they will be watching the actual movie itself which I got on DVD when I was in Taiwan 3yrs ago. After that, went to Pacific House in Toorak for dinner with Chien & Gina. The place was so crowded and the service was as you can imagine, very bad! But, the food was divine, no complaints there. I then took the two to dessert at Cafe Sienna for dessert. They have the best hot chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice-cream! And the best thing is? it's the restaurant's secret. The dessert is actually NOT on the menu, you need to ask for it yourself.

THURS - Went for dinner at Springvale with Chai, Guarren, Chai friend- Joanne, Cam, Linda & Kevin. Afterwards, just went back to Chai's place to hang out there until the clock stroke 10pm.

FRI - Day started at 7:15am, as Chien and I made our way to breakkie in Camberwell. It's been nearly 2months since we did this ever since I moved offices (But I decided to work at Hawthorn yesterday). The best Jamaican Pancakes (Banana, Caramel & Coconut sauce on top of the pancake) can be served at Short Black Cafe on Camberwell Rd. It was so good!
Then at night, we went to Ajisen for the best Ramen in Melbourne city (130 Bourke St). This place was nearly as good as the Ramen I've tasted in Japan!! The price was pretty average too! So if you want authentic Jap Ramen this is the place to go.
Afterwards, Gina and I decided to get some champers to play Big 2 while the guys get the cards from the car. However, after 15mins later, they realised the cards were never in the car in the first place. So I just had to teach them how to play the guessing game with your hands to keep everyone entertained. I must admit, it took them a while to learn it but after 1hr later, everyone was just acting silly (cos the losers have to do a dare at the winner's request). So some of the dares that were called out were: act like a seal, chicken, monkey, turtle, bang your head on the table, dance like an Indian, I told Gina & Mike to go kiss Chien (it was so funny to see Mike trying to kiss chien's cheeks! hahaha!). We played this the entire night until it was around m/n. Then we just chilled on the couch listening to John Mayor's album and then Missy Higgins. It was a great night.

SAT - I'm going to Eric Loh's farewell tonight. He's packing his bags ready to go to Sydney for good.

I can't believe how many ppl I know are leaving. Cam and Chai will most likely be leaving for UK next year (just like that!gosh I wish I had their courage). Then, Cheryl's going to Beijing for 2yrs this SUN! So many of my colleagues are starting to pack their desk to move up to Syd such as Allen, Bo, Maryanne & Jack Chang.
Man, I feel like I'm just left behind. I still have 2 more years before I will go too. But then again, maybe I might just surprise everyone including me by going end of this year.. hmm... only time will tell.
