Happy 3rd Birthday Adam!

Adorable Adam's 3rd Birthday Party

Today has been absolutely crazy! one event after another! what's new hey? it is the life of VPMY after all!

So starting at 1pm - Went shopping at Chaddy with Chiennay driving around with his new BM! such a beautiful car! The weather was gorgeous and we opened the sunroof too.. but it was getting too hot, so decided to close it and turn on the A/C instead!
So whole arvo was spent searching for Adam's (who turned 3y.o) birthday present. All Chien wanted to get him was DINOSAURS! We went to every toy shop possible! Target, Toys R Us, Myer! I was getting very impatient just finding the right dinosaur! I wanted to change the present to like something more innocent for a kid like Barny the dinosaur? or maybe a sketch book and crayons? or maybe a costume for him to run around looking like batman? Spiderman? Buzz light year? but no... Chien kept on reiterating to me 'U have no idea Vicky.. Adam LOVES dinosaurs!' (Boy did I find that out later on at his birthday BBQ!His whole room is filled with Dinosaurs all thanks to the movie Jurrasic Park which his smart daddy Tony decided to show him when he was only 2y.o!)

Anyways, after we had found the right dinosaur, I finally went to Flight Centre to BUY the return trip ticket to India for Sandeep's wedding in May! I've never ever purchased a ticket on the spot without doing my research for the best price. BUT, because I seriously have no time at all and next week is already April, I have no choice but to settle on the ticket irrespective of price.

So the damage? A return flight from Melb > Singapore > Delhi > Calcutta > Singapore > Melbourne costed me all up $1667.46 (inclusive of tax. $24.64 was additional cos I had paid it on my GOLD credit Card.. yes that's right! I finally got my 1st ever Gold card yesterday!) . See below for my itinerary!

Anyways, after that, rushed straight back home and literally jumped into my car to go to worship practice. After worship practice, I literally rushed back home again to jump straight back into Chien's car ready for Adam's 3rd Birthday Party! I tell ya, all the women there with kids were all 24-25y.o! I was in shock! Here I was 2 kids behind most of them! As much I love kids, I realised tonight, I am just NOT ready to get married nor have kids for that matter! To tell you the truth, I don't think I will ever be ready! all the babies crying, changing diapers, all the mums (who were the same age as me!) telling how many sleepless nights they've had! golly gosh! It was definitely a different world cos of the differences in culture (they were all East Timorese and apparently they marry YOUNG olright!).

We had to leave early cos I was running late to meet up with Yin Zi already! So poor Chien had to go home too cos we went in one car! So since he was so tipsy with his one glass of Remy's Cognac, I had to drive his beloved BM for the first time! and boy was Chien edgy!

Anyways, Yin Zi was running 1/2hr late from her farewell drinks at St Kilda. So I just sat with her bro at their living room watching the second last day of the Commonwealth Games! Boy, Australia is kicking arse - coming 1st on the medal tally! OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE, OI OI OI!!

Finally when she came home, we went to StarEast for fries and chicken wings cos Yinz was craving for it! Chatted for like 3hrs as we hadn't seen each other for nearly 3 months! It's always so good to catch up with Yinz. We talk on such deep level topics and both of our comments always make each other think from different perspective. Yinz always tells me, everytime she doesn't see me for like 1 week, it's as if a whole year's worth of stories have just happened in my life! I laughed despite the truth behind that comment!
