5 Weeks Has Arrived!

Thank God my day job is not a maidservant or a housekeeper!

As soon as I got home, I spent 2.5 hrs of my night cleaning the ENTIRE house in preparation for my parents return tomorrow!
I swept the floor, vacuumed the entire house including the stairway, washed the sheets, put new sheets on and made my parents’ master bedroom fit for a king & queen! I cleaned the bathroom, the toilet bowls (x3!), the kitchen. I ironed, took out the washing and finally by the time I was done it was 10:30pm!
Yes I could’ve done all this a little bit earlier but I had to teach at my YGII straight after work! Besides, I also helped Audrey fold her Jiao Zi (shanghai dumplings). It took ages but was fun!

Man I can’t believe tomorrow’s already Day 4 of the week and more importantly, it will be 5 weeks since my parents left me home alone.
I think the funniest thing of all is that despite feeling really lonely in the first week living by myself, I actually got 'used to it' by the 2nd week. Actually, 'used to it' is not quite the right word. I actually love living by myself. The independence, the freedom, the stillness. I liked coming home at night eating whatever I want (or lack of... due to loss of appetite) and watching my DVDs or my taped Home & Away. I loved knitting while listening to my old time fav CDs like Delirious, Hungry Vineyard, Planet Shakers, Chris Tomlin & Switchfoot. I would literally sit there for 3hrs listening to music while knitting. It’s really something that I’ve never done before as usually I’m very impatient and restless. Who would've thought I'd like knitting! Ha! I loved leaving dishes in the sink and then washing it whenever I feel like it. I loved coming home at wee hours of the night without my parents making a comment to me the next morning. I loved hosting a party/lifegroup/sleepover and the list goes on and on. So tell me, how am I going to revert back to my life five weeks ago?

Mind you I am very excited about my parents coming home! I can't wait to receive all the presents they got me in Europe and of course seeing them too =)

So today will be the final day of my comments field.
Moving forward, I will not turn it on as I much prefer emails to: vpmy@yahoo.com.au

Thank You once again to everyone who kept me company for this past 5 weeks! It's been such a lifestyle change alright.
I can't wait till we begin the next financial year! It's like a whole new chapter of my life just beginning!

p/s I got a new heater! (recording it down for warranty purposes)
