Great Barrier Reef >>> Here we come!

Last night, while watching The Great Outdoors Travel show on TV (Yes I've finally found time to watch TV!), they showed us the magical underwater world of The Great Barrief Reef exiting Cairns/Port Douglas and I saw this cool diving activity called The Ocean walker which is basically walking on the floor of the ocean while wearing these helmets right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Wearing helmets mean you can just breathe normally without the hassle of breathing through this thing in your mouth like scuba diving as well your hair stays dry too! And the best thing about it? there are millions of fish and underwater creatures/corals swimming around you while you get your guided tour walking underwater! No doubt it will be sooooo surreal!

Since I've already bought 3 tickets for my parents and I go to Cairns this coming Melbourne cup weekend in November, I thought to myself, I'm definitely doing the Ocean Walker! (Since scuba diving isn't really my cup of tea!). Aunty Angie had already recommended me so many places to see as she absolutely loved her trip that I organised for her. I'll definitely be taking my parents to the wildlife sanctuary park doing 'breakfast with the birds tour' then roaming around with the wildlife like koalas, kangaroos, crocs, lots and lots of birds and many more... Then it's off doing some Snorkelling and the best destination of all... REEF WORLD!! (which is basically a big ship/port in the middle of the ocean directly above the GBR where tourists can stop off and swim with the fish, scuba dive, snorkel or go to the underwater viewing deck or better still ride on the submarine to get a better view of the Great Barrier Reef!).

So yah, I can't believe I'll be going there myself soon! Can't wait to get out of Melbourne's FREEZING winter!!
