Slumber Party: Girls Night In
Since my parents are away for 5 weeks, I thought i would be great to re-live my highschool memories by holding a sleepover at my place (especially since the last time we did this was probably a good 7yrs ago!).
So the girls came over at my place at around 5:30pm and off we went to buy lots and lots of junk food! These were: Lindt chocs (A 'must have' at an 'all girls' sleepoever!), lotsa chips, pizzas, 2 bottles of white wine, breakfast, cheese platter, olives.. the lot! It was a night of lotsa and lotsa junk food plus lotsa lotsa laughs with all of our boardgames: pictionary mania, cranium & my fav.. alias!
We played Alias first and gosh it amazes me just how much twins are soooo alike. Alias is basically a boardgame that has a list of words that your opponent chooses. Then knowing the word, you have to give all these meanings (beside the actual word itself) to your team members for them to guess the word... so everytime Cam and Wong played as a team, they literally have psychic powers of what each person is thinking. Eg. the word was kingdom, Wong said 'King lives in the castle...' and Cam went 'Kingdom'. Cam, Chai & I were all astounded and couldn't stop laughin too. Twins does have this special bond olright!
Next we wanted to play pictionary mania. By then it was nearly 10pm.. so we needed an extra person. After attempting to ring so everyone we knew, I finally managed to convince Michael to come (who lives just down the road from me.. ). Now this game is sooo different from the normal Pictionary. You need 3 ppl in a team. You have 5 diff types of drawings. 1) normal 2) direct to draw (so basically you direct one of your team member on how to draw the pictures using SHAPES only! THIS IS THE HARDEST!) 3) draw on the back (basically you draw on a back of someone and that someone draws it out on the paper for the other person to guess!) 4) human sculpture (this is like charades, but you control the other person's body! sooooo funny stuff) 5) direct the hand (you use your team member's hand to draw).
Pictionary Mania was pretty hard at first then after a few drinks.. it became more and more funny! some of the drawings were soooo pathetic... but still ppl managed to guess it.
At about midnight. Michael left. All the girls then took out all the yarn/wool that Wongie accumulated from her work to give it to us... my entire house was filled with wool! The five of us just sat on the ground knitting away past midnight whilst chit chatting. It was really nice. A very precious moment I must say. Oh and by the way, I've finished my scarf finally thanks to Wongie who taught me how to cast off!! Will show u all the pic soon!
We finally all went to sleep at 2am. Then woke up at 10am the next day to have breakkie being served by Chai (who woke up at 7am cos she's such an early riser!). They all left at around 11:30am! What a great night in deed!
