Shop till I drop!

Today was such a HOT DAY! A WHOPPING 37'C!! Living in Melbourne has really deprived me of my Vitamin D! So I ain't complaining...

The lowlight of my day was definitely wasting 1hr in the heat waiting for my stupid train as it was delayed delayed and delayed!

Finally, at 1pm I was at Westfield Parramatta. OMG! I shopped like mad!! I bought sooo much! including my dress that I will be wearing to Oaks Day for Spring Racing Carnival coming up in November. I now have to find a hat, necklace & handbag to go with my outfit! Ha! It's time like these that I LURVE being a girl! All up I spent about $130 for about 9 items. This is not bad considering I don't shop much in Melbourne (cos I don't have the time!)

After all my shopping was done, I met up with Sandeep & Mini who was already in the shopping centre since 12noon. The complex is that huge that I didn't end up bumping into them. They were still not done with their 'window shopping'. So I decided to go to a cafe to drink my smoothie & read my newspaper and kill 2hrs. Finally at 5pm, Sandeep rings me to tell me they're done. When I went to meet with them, I was absolutely shocked to see that they had bought absolutely NOTHING! Zilch! Not one single shopping bag in their hand! All 5hrs of window shopping and not one thing that fancied their eyes! They were completely the opposite to me! In 30mins, I had bought $100 worth of rubbish! (my suitcase is now sooo overweight!)

The 3 of us then went to a Thai restaurant in Fairfield (the suburb where I used to frequently shop for my groceries 5yrs ago when I had lived up here for my internship with Woolworths). The food was fantastic! All vegies of course cos my 2 Indian friends are completely Vegan (so this means not even eggs in our Pad Thai! NOOOOO!!!).

We then went back to Cab to catch up with Dr. Edward over drinks at a Viet Restaurant. It's so good to be able to include Mini in all of our gatherings now! About time too! She's such a great chic! I got along very well with her (Praise God!). Sandeep's very lucky to have her.. and vice versa ;)
