Love begins...

I took my dear lil sis to TGIF for dinner tonight to celebrate the fact that she's conqueored her VCE! I was so proud of her efforts this year.

Over dinner, I was very honoured when she finally told me that she's planning to enter her first 'love' relationship now that her exams are over. She told me about her friendship with him over the past 3months and how he's so different from the rest of the guys. I sat there listening carefully to my mei mei's lovestruck for the guy. The more I listened, the more I realised how much she sounded like me 7yrs ago when I had first fell for a guy at the age of 17. I saw so much of her in me that it really scared me. But, I knew God has placed me in her life for a reason. The journey that I have taken and the lessons I have learned, I knew, must be transfered to her.

I pray & hope that she will never let go of her first love in substitution of man's love.

Finally, just before she left my car to go into her house, we prayed together in the stillness of the night for God's blessing upon the relationship. It was such a precious moment because I knew as soon as she walks out the car, it will be the beginning of her journey to maturing into a woman through experiencing both love & pain...
