ECCC: Youth Rally Night

Tonight, We had our first ever Youth Rally held at Ron's house. All the small Youth groups were combined for an awesome night of God, friendship & fun.

First up was the balloon game. All of us had a balloon tied up to our leg. The aim of the game is to pop another one's balloon. Gosh you should've seen the noise we made! There were pops, screams, large footstep noises made in the middle of the night! Thank God there were no neighbour complaints!

After that it was time for an awesome night of P&W which Mel, Ron & Joel lead. Mel's prayer during the session was powerful like always!

Then Enoch took over to share his message of the night which was all about prayer. He referred to the book of 1 Kings Chp 17 & 18, the story of the Elijah (a messy looking hairy guy who was an absolutely nobody) who obeyed God's calling and told King Ahab the prophesy that there was not going to be any rain (during the time when the King had prayed continously to his own Mountain god called Baal who was the god of rain). We looked at how fervently Elijah prayed during this time for God's sovereignty to shine through. Of course in the end, God delivered according to His perfect timing. (Thus 3 principles learned were: 1. You don't have to be a somebody for God to listen to your prayer after all Elijah was literally a nobody 2.Patience is the key to prayer 3. Standing firm on God's faithfulness & His perfect timing for your prayer to be answered).

So Enoch made us all write a very specific prayer point that we really want God to give us a breakthrough in. We then have to pray continously, without ceasing for the month of September on the prayer point written.
I will let you know whether or not my prayer will be answered come Oct ;)

Towards the end the night, we ate all these junkfood while playing the Mafia game which Ron introduced to the group. Everyone was addicted to the game so much so that us leaders literally had to act like Nazis to say 'no more! We have to go home!'. We all had some good laughs and learned 'how to lie' in order to win =)

It's so good to fellowship with one another and 'do life' together.
