Jampacked Saturday!
3 highlights from a very LONG but enjoyable day:
1) Chieny's Get well present (10-11am) - Chieny's not well at the moment...I decided to get him a cute get well pressie so that when he gets back from his op, he will get a happy surprise. So I msged him this morning to tell him to be brave and that I promise to give him lollies once he returns. He thought it was just a silly lil text. But, I really did went to buy all sorts of his fav. lollies at Coles and placed them all in a box with this silly little Happy Face Helium Balloon in my attempt to cheer him up.
I was sooo proud that he pulled through it ok so now just praying that he will have a speedy recovery....

2) Terri & Tim's engagment (2pm - 6:30pm) - was held at The Point, Albert Park Lake (home of Grand Prix in St Kilda)
The place was absolutely gorgeous! It overlooked the lake and sailing boats plus it was a very sunny Spring day too! I caught up with the Kmart H/Q team (as I used to work with them when I was managing the Kmart Portfolio for P&G). I caught up with Rob (P&G), Kate, Chris, Susie, Alex & Terri. Terri also introduced me to her fiancee Tim (who's a bodybuilder and looks fantastic!), Jordan (who's Rob's brother. I found out later that he also knows Jasmine Low from ABS) & finally Anthony (who's Susie's Larrikin husband).
Anyway, the highlight of the engagement party was when Chris asked me 'Vicky, you live in Rowville don't you?. I was shocked when I heard that he knew. I asked him how he knew. To my biggest shock of all. He told me he lives at Rowville Lakes and he saw me one summer night at 1am walking around in my tracky dacks with a cap on. He had no doubt it was me (even though it was pitch dark). I was thinking to myself.. hmm the last time I was at the Lakes was in Dec. Then I was like? I didn't have a cap on me! He must've got the wrong person! then I realised.. OMG my friend had a cap on! I nearly died right there and then.... Thank God I wasn't skinny dipping or something! can you imagine, your client catching you out! The world is really too small for anyone to hide!

3) A fun night with Kelv (6:30pm - 2:30AM!) - Kelv decided to take me out for dinner since he lost a bet with me (well he lost on purpose LOL!). He is absolutely such an awesome brother in Christ! He's the only guy who knows how to make me laugh so hard that I literally start to cry.. Another classic Larrikin! For example, when he was driving us to Crown for dinner, I told him how I once went through free valet parking at Crown and how I felt just like a movie star! So then the smarty pants (who knows a lot of high flyers cos of his work as a Corporate Banker) went through the valet car park as if he always park there and you should've seen how embarrassed I looked! For a moment there, I literally felt so tiny sitting next to Kelv! Then, the smarty pants drove off after he just parked only to tell me he was just pulling my leg! If he wasn't driving, I would've killed him right there and then. I can't believe I was so gullable! ArGH!
After dinner, he took me to Legends for a night of pool. You see, Kelv loves to win all the time especially with me. We headbutt everytime when we're with the group cos he always wants to have the last say so I deliberately don't give it to him. Anyhow, so he decided to show to me just how good he is at pool especially when he knows I can't play for peanuts! I must say Kelv is the most skilled person I know at playing pool! He gets every shot in but sometimes he's extra nice to me by letting me have 2 or 3 or 4 goes before he finally gets a shot! LOL! After 1hr of playing and Kelv coaching me, I improved! I was so impressed with myself until... I told Kelv I don't know how to break so he spent another 1hr teaching me. I must give credit to the guy for his patience and encouragement cos at the end of the night, I still couldn't BREAK! Finally I told him we better get outta here before we fall asleep on the Pastor the next morning at church! After we got back to his place to pick up my BLCKP, the guy was so sweet to drive beside me just to show me how to get back home (cos I was so lost!). Kelv's such a sweet heart! Can't wait to see our contract deal (made over dinner) come to past for what's left of 06'...
Overall, I had such an awesome Saturday (plus wee hours of Sunday)! Although I must admit, it did ruin my normal body clock cos I ended up sleeping at 7pm on Sun night and then waking up at 4am!
