'Synnex Bashing' Christmas Party

Eugene invited me to his place for a Christmas Party with his ex-colleagues from Synnex. I must say it was the first time I've ever attended a party with the theme of literally bitching and bashing their ex-company..

If you know Eugene, he is definitely not your average bloke. Since he was the host, he went all out to give the crowd some entertainment! He organised an 'exclusive' performance from the Synnex 4, (who spent 2hrs rehearsing it last night!) and did a remake to the song by Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time. The Lyrics was absolutely hilarious! Guaranteed to make you laugh till you cry!

After that it was time to crown the best Synnex Costume. The more creative you are, the more chance it gives you to win the prize pool that everyone had chipped in the box upon the arrival of the party. Not only that, the host also asked the contestants some questions (just like the beauty pageant) in relation to Synnex (eg. what would you do for Synnex if you won the prize pool? If you were the HR manager at Synnex, what would you do to make Eugene stay?) . Some answers were very very creative!

Highlight of the night was definitely meeting Nei Yo! She looked sooo familiar when I first saw her. We then spent about half hour trying to find some common links until bingo, I finally remembered her from that 1 encounter back in Chinese School days in Glenny. She was Raymond Liu's friend and we were introduced to one another after school one afternoon. She was shocked to hear that I had such a photographic memory! (and yes I was suprised that I remembered too!).
It was so good to speak to her. I was so happy to hear she loves photography too. In fact so much so that two years ago, she decided to follow her passion and gave up her career in the business world to open up her very own wedding photography company. Now she has so many clients all because of WOM! I was so inspired by her courage to rise up to pursue her dream...

p/s just as I was about to leave the party, I saw Jacky (Aida's ex) arriving with his wife! I don't think he remembers me... but what a small world! All this time, Eugene's good friends with Jacky and I never knew!
