The Wedding of Mr & Mrs Tan...

Never say Never!

Finally the long awaited fairytale wedding of my g/f & Jeff literally finished with a happy ending after such a long battle...
My g/f's family actually rocked up at the registry to surprise her as they finally accepted their little sister's marriage to the man of her dreams...I was trying soooo hard not to drop my jaws when I saw them! There were so much tears in the room!

Highlights from the wedding:
1) Darren coming to my place at 10am for the final MC rehersal - then going to Kylie's place to do some photoshop touchups for our ppt slides and learning how to use a digital SLR camera with Kylie's dad
2) Arriving at Old Treasury Building - where Jeff took us to the room where LW was with her family! I was soooo shocked to see all of her siblings finally accepting the wedding and sending their love and warm wishes. It was so touching to see the brother of the bride say to Jeff after the ceremony 'You make sure you take good care of my sister for me' & Jeff replying 'Don't you worry about that.. '
3) Spending the entire afternoon with the bride & groom & groom's family - I really do envy LW for having such close knit 'in laws'. They do everything together as a family (eg. family dinners etc). After the registry, I joined their family to Cervo for lunch and then we all headed back to the room to rest as well as getting ready for the reception. Jeff did my stunning 'sexy' hairdo which only took 20mins! He is such a talented hairdresser!
4) Checking into Crown - and finding out that they had booked LW's bridal room at Crown Promenade (which is really far from the River Room) instead of Crown Towers. We spent 1hr at the check-in arguing with them and finally they gave us a standard room (which was good enough).

Highlight of the night --> The Reception:
5) Taking on the stressful role as the Wedding Coordinator & the MC - Pls remind me never to be a MC or a wedding coordinator again!!
Since Howard (who was supposed to be in charge of handling the Crown Staff) came late, I had to take on his role as well as being the MC. Everyone you can think of in regards to making the night happen approached me ALL at the same time. Ujanna, the supervisor for the evening at Crown, the family of the groom, the friends of the bride, the DJ, the bride herself, the waiters & of course my MC partner Darren who was supposed to take some of my stress but ended up fueling to it cos' he was still unprepared for the content of the night's program! It was definitely stressful especially when things were going wrong last min & the guests had already arrived. Thank God we pulled it together in the end!
6) Seeing my ex for the first time in 2yrs with his current g/f - I must admit it was a bit awkward at first. But I was really happy to see the two of them finally getting together b/c they really do suit each other so well! I hope those 2 do end up walking the aisle together...
7) The smart arse DK taking my camera to take pics - of my ex & his g/f pretending that it was 'his' camera & then kindly returning the camera to me as if he did me a favour! OH! I'm SOOO GOING TO COOK DARREN UP FOR CURRY!
8) Darren 'Auctioning' me off - my dodgy MC partner embarrassed the crap outta me by auctioning me off towards the night which was so NOT part of the script! The highest bid sadly was 50 Rupiah.. *sob sob*
9) The emotional speech made by the bride's sister - Just as I predicted, she started to cry up on the podium so I told Darren that we will just give her some time even though the entire audience of 70 were stunned & speechless. Then LW walked up to join her sister while she finished off her speech. It was absolutely heart moving..
10) Billy's speech before he sung on the night for the bride and groom - He told everyone how he used to have a crush on me and since that didn't go any where, he pursued LW instead.. hahaha t'was sooo funny!
11) The throwing up scene - Ann & Brian drank so much that they were in the bathroom throwing up after the reception was over.. Brian had all these spew on his shirt! While Ann was sooo drunk that she couldn't even walk & Crown had to get a wheelchair for her.. sigh.. I never understand why ppl drink till they throw up?
12) Catching up with Billy - I haven't seen the guy for a year. So since I hardly could sit down to eat, we ended up catching up after the wedding at Chappelli's on Chapel St which was after we met up with my cell group who were all at Legends playing pool and celebrating the actual b'day of Mike & Kelv. Billy and I talked from midnight till 3am! Then he drove me home while listening to all of our fav. hits during our high school years. It really brought back lotsa good ol memories!

It all began at 1pm - Old Treasury Building
