Property Investment 101

God is good.

I have seriously been so lost last week as I thought to myself 'what the heck am I going to do on Saturdays now?'. The more I thought about it, the more I started to question whether my decision to step down was the right one.

Anyway, it went on for days until.... Eugene came into the picture.

You see, Eugene is such a whiz in Property Investment. He lend me the book called 'How to legally reduce your tax' which apparently is the hottest seller at the moment in Australia. Anyways, I've had it for like 2wks now and I'm still only a qtr of the way through it (see how much I hate reading a book!). But this guy has read it all and is absolutely practicing everything the book says and now.. he's really reaping it all in thanks to the book!....and I SOOOO NEED TO DO THE SAME TOO WITH THE RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TAX THAT I'M CURRENTLY PAYING FOR NOTHING!!

So my 'free financial advice' officially commenced last Thurs night when we went out to Dragon Boat for dinner. The funny thing was he actually wanted to eat Lobster. However, the price was sooo expensive (not in season) that we ended up opting for fish instead. So fast fwd time, yesterday morning, he emails me at work continously persuaying me to invest in property.. and so I decided to write a smart arse remark back "what for? You've already invested in a property and still, we had no Lobster for dinner.. " LOL! then in the evening.. guess what he did? He rang to genuinely say 'C'mon let's go for the lobster dinner! I've actually been craving for it the entire week and regret that we didn't eat it last week'. You just had to be there.. it was soooo funny! Because he sounded so pathetic, I couldn't say no and spontaneously fit the 'lobster dinner' in, after my YGII lesson.

Anyways, the entire night from 8-11:30pm we talked ALL about property investment: how to do it, where to invest & why now etc. To tell you the honest truth, before meeting up with him, I was sooo adamant on not buying a property until at least mid next year. But far out man, this guy is good! After he explained to me all the principles, legalities, current economic & market trends etc, I was totally bought into it! So he asked me to go property hunting with him as a way to 'learn' and since I don't have anything to do on Saturdays anymore, I thought? hey... why not?!

But having said that, since I'm also in sales, I decided to also negotiate with him as well. I told him If he comes to Cell tomorrow night AND then to church on SUN morning as well, then yes I will go property hunting with him on Sun arvo...

'Deal!' was his response. Ceh! I never knew it was that easy to convince someone to go to church! HA!
