Hangin with the 'old' crowd

Why am I playing with the pun in my title? 2 simple reasons:

1) Visiting my uncle's elderly club - He's the organiser of the dancing event that takes place every Sat from 10am-2pm. He told me to come, so I did. Except, miss sleepy head here yet again couldn't wake up so ended up rocking up at 1pm instead. But, I still had a ball!
Uncle like always, got all of his friends to ask me to dance and taught me how to dance as well. His friend Don, who was an ex-dancing teacher, taught me how to do the rumba, cha cha, waltz & tango (which is my fav!). I absolute loved it! If I do end up moving here to Syd, I'm definitely going more regularly to improve my posture & steps (and this time without looking down as much!)

Highlight of the day:
i) Uncle walking up to every person he knew whilst they're dancing just so he could introduce me to them. Sometimes, he over does it to the point he literally intrudes on a couple dancing happily away! For example, he would take his friend off the dance floor just to let them meet me while leaving their partner standing on the floor by themselves. It's soooo embarrassing! but cute!
ii) Dancing the waltz with my uncle! Such a precious moment. He keeps on saying that he must teach me how to dance in preparation for my marriage! LOL!

2) Catching up with all of my good ol friends for dinner at Newtown Thai II on King St, Newtown (the city for Thai food in Sydney) - I thought it was going to be a small little gathering. However, it turned out to be 9 ppl all up squashed into this small table that's supposed to fit 6! All Sandeep's great organising skill! We also threw a little surprise birthday celebration for Kevin who was surprised olright. T'was good to see everyone again. We then went off to have coffee at GJs and talked the night away (2nd time in the day - 1st was with Sandeep at Marrickville in the arvo for blueberry bagel & my fav. Pina Colada smoothie =)

*Sigh* 29 yrs on, still so immature...
